Cancellation Policy

At Kita Therapy, we understand that life happens — but to respect everyone’s time, we kindly ask that you let us know as early as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule.

If you need to cancel your appointment and it is not an emergency, please email your therapist, or info@kitatherapy.com.au or text 0416 060552 at least 2 business days before your appointment time.

Our Policy:

  • 2 business days:

    No cancellation fee.

  • Less than 2 business days notice: The full session fee will apply, unless your child is unwell — please notify us by 8:30am on the day of your appointment (unless it is an emergency).

  • Two missed appointments: If you miss two appointments in a row without notice, you will lose your recurring time slot.

  • Multiple cancellations: If you cancel more than three appointments in a row, you will lose your recurring time slot.

  • If a cancellation fee applies, it must be paid according to the invoice provided, before any future sessions can be booked.

Please note: This policy applies to private clients only — NDIS clients will be charged in line with NDIS guidelines.

Why do we charge a cancellation fee?

The cancellation fee covers:

  • The time your therapist spends preparing for your session.

  • The loss of time that could have been offered to another client.

  • Ensuring fairness for all families who rely on our services.
