WHO WE ARE
Kita Speech & Music Therapy is a speech pathology and music therapy clinic located in Mascot. We are passionate in delivering evidence based, client-centered services to individuals of all ages and abilities. We provide sessions in English, Chinese and Bahasa in our clinic. We also offer home visits and telehealth (online therapy). Through tapping into the individual’s strengths, we have a special interest in combining areas of music therapy and speech therapy to promote achievement of meaningful goals.
Kita takes pride in being able to generously support our team at an individual level as well as together within a team. We also have a range of mixed caseloads.
We are currently looking for amazing Speech Pathologists who will provide excellent services for our families and be a part of a supportive culture that encourages individual growth and success.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Assessing and providing speech therapy for children, adolescents and adults at the Mascot clinic for autism spectrum, developmental delay, voice, social skills and other areas relating to health and wellness.
- Deliver community school and home visits.
- Report writing and progress note writing
- Liaising with other health professionals
- When relevant, work cooperatively and effectively within the trans-disciplinary team to provide families with a high quality, coordinated service.
WHAT DO YOU NEED?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Pathology
- Current practicing member of SPA with Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) status and Professional Indemnity Insurance and Public Liability Insurance
- Eligibility to be a Medicare Provider
- Own transport and driver’s licence
- Current Working with Children’s Check and Police Check
- Reliable individual with strong and effective communication skills.
- Proven ethical and professional qualities
- A high level of independent organisational skills
- Highly motivated to deliver quality services and support our families comprehensively
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to communicates with honesty and kindness.

This is a position specifically designed for a newly graduated Speech Pathologist/ Registered Music Therapist. As such the role will include:
- Weekly supervision with a senior Speech Pathologist/ Registered Music Therapist.
- A learning plan that specifically caters to YOUR needs
- Attending internal and external training.
